This is our second time staying here while visiting family. It's a nice little park. They had a potluck dinner for the campers for the Fourth of July. Easy access pull-through sites, with a nice area for walking the dogs. The only drawback is that the sites are tight. Not much room between big rigs, especially when slides are out. We would stay here again.

A nice park in a beautiful area! Get the exact address when programming your GPS. Don't confuse the address for the Welcome Center with the address for the main park. We had a beautiful, large site with a creek running through it (site #72). We did not have a problem fitting our 35' motorhome into it. There are not a lot of sites on the loop that would accommodate a motorhome, so ours was great! The area is shaded nicely with plenty of trails to hike and walk. There is a country store with basic supplies, including firewood. Each site has a fire ring. If you like stargazing, this is the right place for you. Since the park is up in the foothills, the stars really are bright at night. The nearby Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway (Highway 11) is a beautiful scenic route. We took an afternoon trip and visited Historic Hendersonville, NC. We will definitely be back!

We really loved this park! Family living in the area recommended it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The many trees in the park create a canopy over the sites. We were well-shaded and could enjoy sitting outside in June! There is a beautiful lake on-site with a nice path surrounding it. We hated to leave, but we will definitely come back! We had no trouble fitting the 35' motorhome in the site.

This is the second time we stayed here. Our stay was just as nice this time. The staff was just as friendly and the grounds and sites were well-kept. It was good to see so many families staying there. (We weren't sure if it was strictly the "retiree set" when we were here in October). When you visit, take time to sit under the gazebo on the water and catch a lovely breeze! It's a great place to ride your bikes, as well. We look forward to the next time we stay. We'll definitely keep Hilton Head Harbor as one of our favorite places to stay!

The staff at Flamingo Lake were very helpful and very friendly. We arrived after dark, and just after the office closed but they have someone available until midnight for late arrivals. A staff member will drive you to your site. We had a pull-through site, which was great for our overnight stay. Concrete pad sites with very easy hook ups. Each site has a lighthouse-shaped power/cable station. The station has a low-level light on it which makes it easy to hook up after dark but does not bother the neighbors. The only down-side is that the sites are close together. Although we could appreciate the power of the diesel engine next to us, listening to it at 7:30 AM right outside our bedroom window was a wake up call we weren't expecting. It wasn't really a problem, though. We would stay here again. It is a perfect location for someone travelling from South Florida northward.

What a beautiful park! A gem set in the mountains! We stayed on a premium site that backed up to the running stream. The site had its own deck with a picnic table. Each site has a "firebox" that you can have a campfire in. Firewood is available at the campground store. The owners are friendly and take wonderful care of their park. We did have wifi access, but unless you have satellite, you probably won't be watching TV. That is fine with us. We came to enjoy the mountains and the beauty around us. Just a note: No cellphone service in the park. Not a problem for us, but others may need to have access. We hope to be back here next year!

A very lovely park. Sites are owner-owned, but are available to rent. You ride around in a golf cart and pick your site. This makes it easy to find a site that is a "good fit" for your camper/RV. We chose a "water view" site that you can pull straight into. We had a view of the marina and the river through our windshield/living room window. It was beautiful and worth the price. The only problem with pulling in, there wasn't a water connection so we had to use the water in the tank. It was not really a problem, but if someone did not have water "on-board" they would need to back into the site to hook up to a water source. Just a note: Anyone staying at the resort should be sure to make a reservation at the Sunset Grille onsite. Pricey, but definitely worth it! The quality of the food is definitely five star. A hidden gem, for sure. There is a fishing dock. No fishing license is needed, if fishing from the dock. This was an overnight stay for us, but we like it enough to come back and stay longer another time.
